Flowers are harvested, put in water and taken to cold rooms with 15-20min. 4degrees temperature.
After grading flowers are stored to cold at 2 degrees. They are packed in this environment and transported in refrigerated tracks to the airport.
At the airport the truck is offloaded and stored in cold rooms and later on loaded on refrigerated aircrafts
On arrival ensure the flowers are kept in a cold room at least 4-5 degrees
Every stem has an allowance of 2cm . you should cut this 2cm and put the flowers in a water solution. The solution should have flower food i.e chrystal or floralfe. This will guarantee long vase life.
